DoorLoop forwards the call. Doorkeep hands it over. Keep DoorLoop and your number, and let Doorkeep answer, then brief your on-call person before the caller is connected.
Property management software with a business number for calls and texts. Incoming calls hear your greeting, then ring up to 10 numbers in order; if nobody answers, the caller can leave a voicemail. On the Connect and Multiply plans, DoorLoop’s Receptionist Agent answers routine tenant requests across calls, texts, email and the portal, working from lease, ledger and property records.
An AI phone agent for property managers. It answers your DoorLoop number’s calls and answers from the facts you add. When your rules say a call needs a person, it rings your Call List and briefs whoever picks up before connecting the caller. If nobody answers, it takes a message and notifies your team.
Happy with DoorLoop, but want an assistant answering instead of voicemail, and the urgent calls handed to your on-call person with a briefing? Keep DoorLoop and point its number at Doorkeep.
Already on Connect or Multiply and want calls, texts, email and the portal answered in one system? DoorLoop’s Receptionist Agent is built for that.
Keep your DoorLoop number. Tenants call it as they do now, DoorLoop forwards the call, and Doorkeep answers. These steps follow DoorLoop’s own help article; we don’t have a DoorLoop account to test with, so check each screen as you go.
In DoorLoop, go to Settings, then Incoming Calls under Company. Make sure Incoming Calls is on.
Keep the greeting very short. Callers hear it before Doorkeep picks up.
Add your Doorkeep number as the only forwarding number.
Turn call screening off for that number. DoorLoop’s own tip: an automated system can’t press a key to accept a call.
Set the schedule to available all day, every day, so DoorLoop never sends a call to its voicemail.
In Doorkeep, set your Call Windows, Who Picks Up and call types as usual. From here, Doorkeep decides who rings and when.
From DoorLoop’s own help center and website, checked November 3, 2026. Plans change, so check the one you’d buy.

DoorLoop prices are from its pricing page, yearly and monthly billing, as checked November 3, 2026; call pricing is from its voice help article. DoorLoop’s plan cards list the Receptionist Agent on Connect, while its comparison table calls it an add-on, so confirm with DoorLoop. Below about 100 units, moving from One to Connect costs less each month than Doorkeep Starter, comparing yearly with annual billing or month to month with month to month; above that, Starter costs less, before any overage. Doorkeep counts all connected call time, including hold and the transfer leg. Both offer an annual discount.
DoorLoop keeps your number and your records. Doorkeep takes the call from there: the call flow, emergency handling and Fair Housing guardrails come built in.
Facts you add and approve, like trash day, parking or office hours. Questions it can’t answer are captured for you.
The situations you choose ring your Call List, and whoever picks up hears who’s calling and why before the caller is connected. If nobody answers, it takes a message and your team is notified.

DoorLoop is your system of record, and Doorkeep doesn’t replace it. The question is who answers the phone and what happens when a call needs a person.
No relation. We understand the double take: property software is running a little low on door words. Doorkeep and DoorLoop are separate companies with no affiliation. DoorLoop runs your portfolio, and Doorkeep answers the phone. Looking for DoorLoop support? Their help center is at support.doorloop.com.
Yes. Tenants keep calling the number they have. DoorLoop forwards each call to your Doorkeep number, and Doorkeep answers. The setup steps are above.
We can’t confirm it. Doorkeep recognizes tenants by the number they call from, and we don’t know whether DoorLoop passes that number along when it forwards. If it doesn’t, Doorkeep takes the caller’s details on the call instead. We’ll update this page once a DoorLoop customer confirms either way.
Yes. The call rings through DoorLoop first, so it appears in DoorLoop’s call log. The recording, transcript and summary of the conversation are in your Doorkeep dashboard.
DoorLoop is in Beta: you can connect your DoorLoop account today, with sync rolling out. No sync or work orders yet. Forwarding works without it.
It can be, if you’d rather not change DoorLoop plans. DoorLoop lists the Receptionist Agent on Connect and Multiply, and it answers across calls, texts, email and the portal. Doorkeep answers calls only and focuses on getting the right ones to your on-call person with a briefing. On price, moving from One to Connect costs less than Doorkeep Starter below about 100 units, and more above it, on either billing basis.
