Emergency Calls

Designed to escalate. Not a substitute for 911.

Doorkeep is designed to recognize life-safety situations and instruct callers to contact 911 immediately. When an emergency is detected, the property manager and emergency contact are notified via both call and text.

No AI system catches every situation. If a caller describes an emergency in a way Doorkeep does not detect, they will not be redirected. This is why our Terms of Service include explicit emergency services disclaimers, and why Doorkeep errs toward escalation when there is any doubt.

Built to reduce risk. Not a guarantee of compliance.

Fair Housing guardrails are built into every call. When a caller asks about neighborhood demographics, school quality, crime rates, or other steering-risk topics, the agent redirects the question to you rather than answering it.

Doorkeep's guardrails are designed to reduce risk and support your compliance efforts. They do not replace your independent Fair Housing obligations.

Recording & Disclosure

Every caller knows they're talking to AI and being recorded.

At the start of every call, the agent identifies itself as an AI assistant and obtains recording consent before the conversation begins. There is no ambiguity about what callers are interacting with.

Doorkeep is designed for use in both one-party and two-party (all-party) consent states. Callers are always informed before any information is captured.
